Our amazing volunteers are the very heart of the Trust. It is because of their dedication that over the years we have been able to provide so many people with an exceptional holiday experience. Quite simply, without them our holidays would not happen.
Many volunteers return year after year to help; a good sign that they enjoy sharing their time with us. We know that the joy and appreciation expressed by our holidaymakers, rewards all their hard work many times over.
Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds with diverse skills and experience, but they all have one thing in common; a desire to contribute towards others having a great holiday.
If you would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you. We will find you a role to suit your interests and provide you with training and support.
You can help us in lots of different ways, depending on the time you have available. Usually, we would ask volunteers to give one week of their time helping on a holiday and one day earlier in the year for training.
Residential volunteers are an integral part of the holiday group, staying alongside the holidaymakers, sharing the whole holiday experience. As a residential volunteer, you will be on hand to help the holidaymakers with whatever is needed, for example they might need help with their mobility, communication, or personal care. You will participate in the holiday activities and outings and spend a fair bit of time chatting and eating cake!
Other volunteers help with specific activities or tasks during the holiday weeks. As an activity volunteer you might lead an activity or entertainment session or lend a hand by driving a minibus.
Behind the scenes there are opportunities to help us with our fundraising and spreading the word about our activities.
If you are interested in volunteering, please either complete an enquiry form or call our coordinator for a chat.
