Philippa and Annie were invited to visit Georgette and Mark who run Equintervention CIC. What a morning! We were introduced to their three horses, Tiger Lily, Brandy Snap and Chelsea Girl who were 'rescue horses' and had just been left in a field. With a lot of hard work with the horses, started by the sanctuary that rescued them but continued by Georgette and Mark, they have achieved some remarkable results. Their not for profit Community Interest Company (CIC) based in Bridport, offers therapeutic support through Equine Facilitated Learning Programmes. Spending time with the horses in this way is a great way to neutralise anxiety, reduce stress and create positive interventions for a variety of conditions such as ADHD and Autism.
We are delighted to announce that in future we will be arranging visits for our holidaymakers so they can get to know the horses and see them in action. We can testify that even if you are scared of horses, these three are so gentle and patient and love being stroked.
