Supporting Green Island Holiday Trust

We believe that everyone deserves a holiday. Many of our holidaymakers do not usually have the chance to take a break away from their daily routine. By taking care of their care and support needs, not only do we enable them to have a holiday, but their carer benefits from a week’s respite.

The continued help and generosity of our supporters is vital to ensure we can keep providing our holidays.

There are lots of different ways to support us.

Fundraise

Set yourself a challenge and achieve a personal goal whilst raising funds for us. Past challenges include Paul Ebsworth cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats, Pete Scupholme walking the Dorset section of the south west coastal path, and Rebecca Webber completing an Ironman Triathlon in France, that’s a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bicycle ride and a marathon run!

You could organise your own fundraising event; a sponsored cycle ride or walk, a pottery or plant sale, an art exhibition, a garden party, a quiz, the ideas are endless!

Perhaps you are already organising an event and would like to nominate us as one of your recipient charities. The Corfe Mullen Carnival did just that and in return we helped them to sell raffle tickets and judge the floats.

Events

Participate in one of our fundraising events or join our amazing fundraising team that make the events happen.

The Green Island Golf Day has become a firm favourite with our golfing friends as well as our largest annual fundraiser.

We have hosted many enjoyable gala and musical evenings thanks to the generosity of local entertainers; the Rex Players, Keep Off the Grass, the Poole Rock Choir and the Retro Groove Mob to name just a few.

Remember to let us know if you would like us to keep you informed of any events that we have planned.

Partnerships

Over the years, local businesses have supported us in a variety of ways, either with a one-off offer of help or as a longer-term partnership. Help has come in kind and financially and could be something as simple as displaying a Green Island Holiday Trust collection box.

Every donation we receive goes directly towards the cost of providing a holiday. You can donate via the button below with options to make a make a one-off donation or become a monthly donor.
